This album is behind-the-scenes look at the group's early days with a collection of 12 previously unreleased demos recorded between 1968 and 1971. While many demos feature members performing solo, the opening cut includes all three harmonizing on the Nash-penned hit "Marrakesh Express," recorded four months before the release of the trio's eponymous debut in 1969. Crosby and Stills can be heard on another song from that blockbuster album, "Long Time Gone." The two recorded the demo in June 1968, just a few weeks before Nash joined the group. Neil Young, whose arrival in 1969 launched CSN&Y, performs with Crosby and Nash on "Music Is Love," a song the three cowrote that appeared on Crosby's 1971 solo debut. Crosby flies his "freak flag" alone on the anthemic "Almost Cut My Hair," a track featured on the group's 1970 #1 album Déjà Vu. Stills performs unaccompanied on a 1968 demo of "My Love Is A Gentle Thing." Recorded in 1968, the song was never released on a studio album, although a 1975 recording of the track did surface in 1991 on the boxed set CSN. More than half of CROSBY, STILLS & NASH DEMOS comprises early versions of songs destined for solo projects that each member focused on following the success of Déjà Vu.

After working together on the New York Dolls' influential debut in 1973, the group reunited with producer Todd Rundgren this winter to record their fourth studio album, 'Cause I Sez So. Recorded at Utopia Sound Studio in Kauai, Hawaii, the album features 11 original compositions and a new version of "Trash," which was on their 1973 debut album. "It was amazing working with Todd again, and I think we were able to evoke the special sound of our first album and drag it by the hair into the present," says frontman David Johansen. The New York Dolls swaggered onto the New York music scene in the early '70s, influencing a generation with its subversive mix of high-decibel rock and high-heeled androgyny. The original band recorded a pair of milestone records -- New York Dolls (1973) and Too Much Too Soon (1974) -- before breaking up in 1977. The surviving members reformed the group in 2004 to much acclaim, but soon lost bassist Arthur Kane to leukemia. When Simon & Garfunkel went out on the road in November of 1969 on what would be their last tour together for 13 years, the duo’s popularity rivaled that of the Beatles. They embarked on the tour soon after completing Bridge Over Troubled Water, the album that would be their crowning glory and biggest seller, but it wouldn’t be released until January 21, 1970, so their sets contained several songs from that album that the fans who packed their shows would be hearing for the first time. Several shows on the ’69 tour were recorded in anticipation of what was earmarked to be their sixth album, the follow-up to Bridge. That live LP never came to be (until now, that is); in fact, there was no follow-up of any kind, mainly because Simon and Garfunkel were in the final months of their partnership. Interestingly, the 17 previously unreleased performances contained on Live 1969 bear no trace of the acrimony that was thought to have accrued as they neared their breakup; all that can be sensed is the comfortable vibe of buddies enjoying the familiar task of working together.

The Clifford Ball was held in Plattsburgh, New York, at a decommissioned air force base, during which Phish played two marathon concerts including multiple guests. The DVDs contain all three sets and encores the band played each night, along with bonus footage, more than 9 hours of live improvisation. The bonus DVD presents choice rarities including a soundcheck from August 15, their "Flatbed Jam" performed in the wee hours of the morning on the back of a truck, an interview with longtime Phish artist Jim Pollock, interviews with Phish and much more. The first night provided fans with a preview of several tracks that would appear a few months later on Billy Breathes, the band's eighth studio album. More than 20 years after Rod Stewart achieved superstardom, the shag-topped rocker took to the stage at Universal Studios in Los Angeles for a performance filmed for MTV's Unplugged series. The stellar concert featured a reunion with guitarist Ron Wood -- with whom Stewart played in the Jeff Beck Group and the Faces -- and resulted in a hit album that peaked at #2 on the Billboard album charts and contained a Top 10 cover of Van Morrison's "Have I Told You Lately." This Collector's Edition contains a remastered and expanded version of the original album. Also included is the DVD debut of the performance, which aired on MTV but has never been released in any format. The CD features two songs that did not appear on the original album.

This album is behind-the-scenes look at the group's early days with a collection of 12 previously unreleased demos recorded between 1968 and 1971. While many demos feature members performing solo, the opening cut includes all three harmonizing on the Nash-penned hit "Marrakesh Express," recorded four months before the release of the trio's eponymous debut in 1969. Crosby and Stills can be heard on another song from that blockbuster album, "Long Time Gone." The two recorded the demo in June 1968, just a few weeks before Nash joined the group. Neil Young, whose arrival in 1969 launched CSN&Y, performs with Crosby and Nash on "Music Is Love," a song the three cowrote that appeared on Crosby's 1971 solo debut. Crosby flies his "freak flag" alone on the anthemic "Almost Cut My Hair," a track featured on the group's 1970 #1 album Déjà Vu. Stills performs unaccompanied on a 1968 demo of "My Love Is A Gentle Thing." Recorded in 1968, the song was never released on a studio album, although a 1975 recording of the track did surface in 1991 on the boxed set CSN. More than half of CROSBY, STILLS & NASH DEMOS comprises early versions of songs destined for solo projects that each member focused on following the success of Déjà Vu.

After working together on the New York Dolls' influential debut in 1973, the group reunited with producer Todd Rundgren this winter to record their fourth studio album, 'Cause I Sez So. Recorded at Utopia Sound Studio in Kauai, Hawaii, the album features 11 original compositions and a new version of "Trash," which was on their 1973 debut album. "It was amazing working with Todd again, and I think we were able to evoke the special sound of our first album and drag it by the hair into the present," says frontman David Johansen. The New York Dolls swaggered onto the New York music scene in the early '70s, influencing a generation with its subversive mix of high-decibel rock and high-heeled androgyny. The original band recorded a pair of milestone records -- New York Dolls (1973) and Too Much Too Soon (1974) -- before breaking up in 1977. The surviving members reformed the group in 2004 to much acclaim, but soon lost bassist Arthur Kane to leukemia. When Simon & Garfunkel went out on the road in November of 1969 on what would be their last tour together for 13 years, the duo’s popularity rivaled that of the Beatles. They embarked on the tour soon after completing Bridge Over Troubled Water, the album that would be their crowning glory and biggest seller, but it wouldn’t be released until January 21, 1970, so their sets contained several songs from that album that the fans who packed their shows would be hearing for the first time. Several shows on the ’69 tour were recorded in anticipation of what was earmarked to be their sixth album, the follow-up to Bridge. That live LP never came to be (until now, that is); in fact, there was no follow-up of any kind, mainly because Simon and Garfunkel were in the final months of their partnership. Interestingly, the 17 previously unreleased performances contained on Live 1969 bear no trace of the acrimony that was thought to have accrued as they neared their breakup; all that can be sensed is the comfortable vibe of buddies enjoying the familiar task of working together.

The bonus DVD presents choice rarities including a soundcheck from August 15, their "Flatbed Jam" performed in the wee hours of the morning on the back of a truck, an interview with longtime Phish artist Jim Pollock, interviews with Phish and much more. The first night provided fans with a preview of several tracks that would appear a few months later on Billy Breathes, the band's eighth studio album. During the show, the foursome convened on a small stage, where they performed acoustic versions of then-unreleased tracks: "Waste," "Talk" and "Train Song." On the second night, nearly half of the songs featured have never appeared on a studio album, including "Runaway Jim," "Wilson," "Punch You In The Eye" and "Harpua."

More than 20 years after Rod Stewart achieved superstardom, the shag-topped rocker took to the stage at Universal Studios in Los Angeles for a performance filmed for MTV's Unplugged series. The stellar concert featured a reunion with guitarist Ron Wood -- with whom Stewart played in the Jeff Beck Group and the Faces -- and resulted in a hit album that peaked at #2 on the Billboard album charts and contained a Top 10 cover of Van Morrison's "Have I Told You Lately." This Collector's Edition contains a remastered and expanded version of the original album. Also included is the DVD debut of the performance, which aired on MTV but has never been released in any format. The CD features two songs that did not appear on the original album.
