Two Women: Alisa Boniello And Lea Marie Both Release New Music

These two women artists have some new music, just released. Check it out!

First, Alisa Boniello:

Independent songwriter/singer Alisa Boniello released LOVESTRUCK, her debut four-song EP on May 15, 2012.

Boniello collaborated with Grammy Award winning songwriter/producer Barry Eastmond (Whitney Houston, Britney Spears, Anita Baker) on co-writing all four songs, “Lovestruck,” a retro-soul/pop ditty, “(When Will) Love Feel Real,” a love saga, the whimsical ballad, “Why,” and the pulsating and edgy “That Kind Of Girl,” co-written and co-produced by Wendell Hanes, (Mya, Cheri Dennis) and Dan Kramer. Eastmond also produced all the tracks except for, “That Kind Of Girl,” which he co-produced with Hanes and Kramer.

“I’m just discovering who I am as an artist,” admitted Boniello, “but I’m hoping that once people hear these songs, they’ll feel the joy I felt in writing and recording them.”

Boniello is a native New Yorker, who earned a BA degree in Classical Voice from Hunter College (May 2011). She’s been playing the piano since age 5, and over the past several years started cutting her teeth as live performer at open mic nights around the city, such as the Waltz Astoria in Queens, the Sidewalk Café, Desmond’s Tavern, and 169 Bar in Manhattan.

And next, Lea Marie:

Ascending pop princess singer-songwriter Lea Marie has released her sophomore release “Undercover Lover”, available May 22nd, 2012. This 6 Song EP features her dynamic dance tracks “Take Me For A Ride,” and “Undercover Lover.”

Lea Marie’s 1st radio single from the EP “Take Me For A Ride,” is currently making waves on the radio charts across the United States. The party-on dance beat keeps things moving along with tongue-in-cheek lyrics as “Take Me For A Ride” drives its memorable chorus home. The video has received tens of thousands of views on YouTube in just two short weeks. It is a humorous and entertaining song, which depicts Lea Marie as a girl that’s hot for the truck while the guy that’s driving it is waiting for her to focus some of her excitement in his direction. It holds the viewer captive both melodically and lyrically with its catchy hook chorus.

“Songwriting is something that came naturally to me. It’s like songwriting would be the sun, with all the planets revolving around it. Songwriting is the center of my universe,” says Lea Marie about the writing of her EP.
