XTC were one of the truly great bands from the late seventies until they finally disbanded around 2000 or so. From early new wave to quirky pop/rock to later intelligent pop, they always were unique, clever, and smart, along with catchy. Now, the second to main songwriter and the drummer have regrouped for a new project called TC&I. It’s bassist Colin Moulding, writer and singer of a bunch of XTC classics, and Terry Chambers.
They have released a four song EP on CD and vinyl and are set to play some gigs soon. For XTC fans this is a huge treat since the band stopped touring in the 80s. The four songs on the EP are varied but always interesting. And half of XTC is better than none!
